Mount Southington is hosting its Winter Carnival Saturday, Feb. 22. Enjoy the atmosphere with food on our outdoor deck and great music by DJ-Butch Gray. The highlight of the day is the Cardboard Box Race. Guests can line up at 3 p.m. at the base of the Thunderbolt Trail to have their vehicles judged by our local experts. Prizes awarded for Best Construction, Fastest Time, and Overall Presentation. At 4 p.m., contestants can walk a short distance with their vehicles up the Thunderbolt Trail to take a ride down. Later, take a break from skiing in our Alpine Eatery for Live Entertainment with Party of Three performing from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
