Bristol police arrested a man while he was already incarcerated after he lit a fire in his cell, Lt. Donn Watson said. Dwayne Saunders, 45, was already arrested on Jan. 3 after a domestic dispute. While he was in jail, he set a fire inside of his cell with concealed matches, Watson said. Saunders was first arrested on Jan. 3 and charged with criminal violation of protective order – threatening, criminal violation of protective order – non threatening, disorderly conduct, first degree criminal trespass and interfering with an officer. Watson said this arrest came after Saunders failed to leave a residence where he had a restraining order, and resisted arrest. Later that day, Watson said Saunders lit the fire in his cell and he was arrested again and charged with first degree arson, third degree criminal mischief and interfering with an officer.
