The Town of Plainville offices will observe the following hours: Thursday, Dec. 24, the Municipal Center will close at 11:30 a.m.; the Senior Center will close at 1 p.m.; and the library will close at 1:30pm. Friday, Dec. 25, all offices will be closed. The library also will be closed Saturday, Dec. 26. The Senior Center will be open for their 41st annual Christmas Dinner for members on Friday, Dec. 25, beginning at 11:30 a.m. Call the Senior Center at 860-747-5728 for reservations. On Thursday, Dec. 31, the Municipal Center will close at 11:30 a.m.; the Senior Center will close at 1 p.m.; and the library will close at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, all offices will be closed. The library will also be closed Saturday, Jan. 2. There will be regular refuse and recycling collection on Thursday, Dec. 24 and Thursday, Dec. 31.
