We asked him about his experience as an attorney and what he is looking forward to the most in his new role. Q: How long have you been practicing law? A: I have been an attorney for approximately 13-years; 11 of them practicing here in Southington. My firm, the Law Office of Jeremy Taylor, LLC, is located at 876 South Main Street in Plantsville. Q: What is the role of the Assistant Town Attorney? A: The role of the Assistant Town Attorney is to perform professional legal work and tasks to assist the Town Attorney [Mark Sciota] and provide various town departments with legal guidance. The Assistant Town Attorney also is called upon to serve in the Town Attorney’s absence, as needed, at Town Council, and other department meetings. Q: How have your experiences prepared you to serve as Assistant Town Attorney? A: My legal background as a General Practice attorney has afforded me the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in many different types of law.
