Southington Police Department’s Accident Investigation Team (AIT) is investigating an accident on Flanders Road, just north of the intersection with Pilgrim Lane. Police were called to the scene a little after 10 a.m. this morning with reports of an accident involving two cars and a motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle, Kevin Sullivan of Southington, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Hartford Hospital by American Medical Response (AMR). Sullivan is listed in stable, but guarded condition. The driver of the second vehicle, Evan Gladney of Wallingford, was transported to Mid- State Hospital and treated for minor injuries and then released. The third driver, Scott Percival of Avon, was transported to the Hospital of Central Connecticut at Bradley Memorial for precautionary reasons. Percival was later released after being examined. A portion of Flanders Road was closed for several hours while AIT was on scene investigating the crash. The road was re-opened at 9:15 pm. As of today, no charges have been filed.
