Edwin Perez, 30, of Meriden, turned himself in to Southington Police on Monday, June 15 after learning there was an active warrant for his arrest. Perez was processed and charged with criminal attempt to commit fourth degree sexual assault, risk of injury to a minor, second degree unlawful restraing, and second degree breach of peace. According to the arrest warrant, the incident took place on May 23, 2015 within the Town of Southington. Perez and the victim were familiar with each other. The warrant was sealed by the Court and no other information will be released. He was held on a $125,000 bond and was given a court appearance on June 15.
