By BRIAN JENNINGS STAFF WRITER The Blue Knights golf team (11-4) won two on the road to push them towards lower scores for the Division I state tournament and prepare for the CCC Golf Tournament. The Knights started the week with a 150-152 win at Simsbury Farms Golf Course on Tuesday, May 26. The Knights lost the first meeting between both teams last month, 153-159. Jake D’Allesandro won medalist of the match, shooting 1-under-par with a 35. Drew Szandrocha followed with a 37. Harrison Garrett (38) and Ryan Burrill (40) rounded out the scoring, and Julian Cardozo (47) contributed. “I think a lot of our success has to do with confidence right now,” said Southington coach Jim DiNello. “They just feel good about where their games are individually and collectively. The individual success is coming from them feeding off of each other. The fact that we’ve a fairly decent amount of time with some very healthy competition within the team has enabled us to play better.
