By BRIAN JENNINGS STAFF WRITER Brett Shaw and Adam Wilson chuckled like two siblings at the dinner table when they signed their letters of intent on Thursday, May 21, and that might have been because the two Blue Knights were both committing to play baseball for another teammate’s father next year when they continue their careers at Western Connecticut State University (WCSU) for the Division III Colonials come next spring. Shaw plans to study computer sciences and Wilson plans to major in law studies. “It’s not just what we’re going to be losing on the baseball field, which is considerable, but it’s the two individuals sitting right here,” said Southington coach Charlie Lembo. “We’ve become more than just coach-player after getting to know these guys over the years. I remember Brett when he was in the seventh and eighth grade. Coach (John) Susi is going to be very happy with them. They’re going to do very well academically, so he’s not going to have to worry about that, which a lot of college coaches do.
