Plainville police reported an armed robbery at the Gulf Station at the corner of Camp Street and Route 177 early Friday morning. No one was injured in the incident. At the station, which is at the corner of Route 177, police said a female was approached by a male as she walked to her car. Police said the suspect displayed a firearm and demanded the victim hand over the money. The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of money, said police. Subsequently, police explained, the suspect fled in what has been described as a black four-door Ford Focus with Connecticut plates. Police said the suspect has been described as a white male in his middle 20s with a brown mustache. He is about 5’9” and has a thin build, said police. He was wearing a dark colored winter hat, a black jacket, blue jeans, and black boots, said police. Police said anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who can help identify the suspect is asked to call either Detective Marc Rivard or Detective Sergeant Nicholas Mullins at (860) 747-1616.
