Well, the squad from Plainville High School is ready for another scholastic season and this coming Friday, the Blue Devils steps up against Maloney of Meriden. The Spartans are looking to rebound from a long 2013 campaign and Plainville would like to kickoff the year on the right foot. The Blue Devils are looking to improve off a credible 4-6 season last year and a big win against the Spartans is certainly in order. Here’s a quick look at this Friday’s action: Plainville (0-0) vs. Maloney (0-0) Location: Alumni Field, Plainville Day and Time: Friday, 7 p.m. Last Year: Last season, Plainville did not play the Spartans. All-Time Series: Plainville and Maloney are tied in the series at a 4-4-1 stalemate. Last Time…On Sept. 17, 2010, Maloney defeated Plainville 29-18 from Alumni Field. But later on, the game was forfeited by the Spartans. That season, the Blue Devils qualified for postseason play at 8-2.
