The Town of Plainville Assessors Office is taking appointments to take applications for the Renters Rebate Program for elderly and disabled renters. Income requirements for the program are $34,100 for single individuals and $41,600 for married couples. Applicants must be Connecticut residents for at least one year’s time and be 65 years of age prior to Dec. 31, 2013 or have a 100 percent disability rating from the Social Security Administration. A copy of your 2013 income tax return, proof of Social Security benefits collected for 2013, and all receipts for rent and utilities’ costs from 2013 must be brought with you to your appointment.
