The majority of Plainville residents who voted on the General Government and Board of Education budgets last week showed their support for the requests that had been proposed for the next fiscal year. The $21,808,178 General Government budget passed with 343 votes, with 95 voting ‘no,’ and the $33,616,799 Board of Education budget passed with 347 votes, with 91 voting ‘no.’ The total number of voters for Tuesday’s all-day budget vote was 441, which is less than the number of voters who came out in 2013.
