To assist Bristol residents who need to interact with Social Security, The City of Bristol Senior Center is now offering a video service for interacting with Social Security Administration. This service is being made available as a result of the closing of the Social Security office in Bristol in January 2014. The new office will be available to Bristol residents aged 55 and over every Wednesday between 9 a.m. and noon. People needing to speak with a Social Security employee will be able to do so. Video conferencing equipment has been set up at the SeniorCenter for residents aged 55 and older so they can speak face to face with the Social Security employee. Appointments will be taken on a first come, first serve basis. The BristolSeniorCenter is located at 240 Stafford Ave., Bristol, CT06010.
