Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 10, as LakeCompounce hosts its grand opening day for the 2014 season. A press from the oldest amusement park in the country said the park has “tripled the fun” this season with new additions such as, the first Pink’s Hollywood Hot Dogs on the East Coast, Bear Creek Campground with cabins and tipis, and a weekend laser light spectacle that will “Illuminate the Night.” LakeCompounce also will be offering two new season pass options and increasing the number of cabanas in CrocodileCoveWaterPark, said the release. LakeCompounce has partnered with Pink’s Hot Dogs, a Hollywood Legend since 1939, to open an in-park location across from the Carousel this May. Pink’s Hot Dogs was titled the number one hot dog stand in a list of the “Top Ten Hot Dog Stands in the U.S.” by Fox News, reported the park’s news release. The hot dog stand attracts celebrities such as, Jay Leno and Martha Stewart, and Food Network superstars Giada de Laurentiis and Guy Fieri.
