The pattern has the potential to bring some of the highest temperatures of the season so far. Temperatures are forecast to rise well into the 60s to lower 70s from the Ohio Valley to the interior Northeast and mid-Atlantic. The only cool spots will be where a breeze blows off the chilly waters of the Great Lakes and the Atlantic Ocean. Temperatures will climb well into the 70s across the South. It will be dry and mild for those with outdoor plans or just trying to exercise. Many people will be able to shed jackets and long sleeves.
