The New England Carousel Museum shows its colors. To the editor: “Bristol Shows Its Color” sponsored by the Bristol Museum Collaborative is continuing as a patriotic salute to our city’s veterans. All the local museums, as well as the Federal Hill, ForestvilleVillage and West End Associations have decorated their buildings and locations recognizing the men and women who have dedicated themselves to the cause of freedom. Many city residents and businesses have joined in with patriotic displays of flags, wreaths, bunting and ribbons to demonstrate their appreciation and respect for those who have served our country so nobly. As the Fourth of July approaches, please join Bristol’s effort to remember these individuals who have given so much in the past and those that our serving today. Although “ Bristol Shows Its Colors” officially runs from Memorial Day to The Fourth of July many veterans have asked if these displays can be maintained until Labor Day. This certainly would be a fitting tribute. The Bristol museums plan to continue and to expand, “Bristol Shows Its Colors” as an annual tribute. Please become involved this year and in the future. Let’s all join in making Bristol a red, white and blue community this Independence Day. The Bristol Museum Collaborative
