Police arrest convenience store clerk for selling heroin

Bristol police arrested a clerk of a City convenience store on March 7, who they say has been selling heroin. Police arrested 33-year-old Angel Nunez of Hartford after Bristol Police NET received information that Nunez was carrying heroin into Bristol and selling it, a press release said. Nunez is a clerk at the Jeff Mini Mart located at 568 Jerome Ave., Bristol, and upon investigation police found 330 bags of heroin with an estimated street value of up to $3,300. The release said Nunez is currently on probation for previous narcotics violations, and the Connecticut Department of Revenue agents were also investigating the store for illegal sale of cigarettes. Nunez was charged with illegal possession of narcotics with intent to sell and was held on a $250,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on March 17.
