A Southington man has been arrested after Plainville police said he had sexual intercourse with a female under the age of 13-years-old. According to a press release Luis M. Maldonado, 32, of 14 John St., Southington was arrested at his home for first degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. Because the investigation is ongoing, the arrest warrant affidavit is sealed by the court and no other information can be released at this time. Maldonado was arrested after Plainville detectives conducted an investigation into the case. Maldonado was held on $1 million bond and was scheduled to appear in Bristol court last Thursday.
