After a report of a person seen with a handgun near Bristol Eastern High School resulted in a lockdown Wednesday afternoon, Bristol Police arrested Brianna Lee Kowalski, 20, of 320 Queen St., in the incident and arrested her on several weapons charges. The school was placed in lockdown just before 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon after the report, and police officers lifted the lockdown after determining there was no threat, a press release said. After an investigation, police arrested Kowalski and charged her with possession of a weapon on school grounds, carrying a pistol without a permit, loitering on school grounds, breach of peace, and carrying a dangerous weapon. She was held on a $100,000 bond. After further investigation, the release said, it was revealed Kowalski had an active warrant for her arrest for sale of prescription drugs, sale of narcotics, fifth degree larceny, and illegal possession of narcotics. She was held on a $50,000 bond for that case.
