Southington beat Farmington by more than 25 points.By BRIAN JENNINGS STAFF WRITER The Lady Knights (6-0) emulated a repeat performance of last week’s meet by just missing their highest team score of the regular season by less than a point in a home win, over Farmington on Saturday, Jan. 30., 137.05-111.1. The Knights scored a season high of 137.8 in a home win against RHAM last week. Rachel Williams (34.7) led Southington with the overall best all-around score, tying Taryn Meenan for the best score on floor (8.9) and contributing with second place finishes on bars and beam. “Rachel looked really good on all four events tonight,” said Southington coach Kaitlyn O’Donnell. “She made her vault, so that was a big thing for us.” Meenan (34.65) held the second best all-around score, finishing first on bars (8.6) and second on vault. “Taryn stood out on all four events,” the coach said. “She’s starting to get healthy again, so she’s getting her stamina up. She looked great on all four events.” Kayla Birmingham trailed Meenan with the third best all-around score, placing third on beam and floor, as well as tying Williams for third on vault.
