Mitchell flicked the puck towards the goal, and Jacob Herz deflected it off the bottom corner of the crossbar and into the back of the net. Herz’s deflection for a goal midway through the third period sealed a 1-0 victory for Hall-Southington (7-1-0) over Rockville-Bolton-Coventry-RHAM (1-6-0) at home on Saturday, Jan. 16, giving the Warrior-Knights their sixth straight victory. Hall-Southington coach Brian Cannon said that the goal energized the team after two back-and-forth, scoreless periods. “We were kind of listless, flattened, and directionless there for a while. Things were not clicking for us today,” said Cannon. “That seemed to get us to bear down a little bit better, and the goal seemed to put a little bit of the energy in us that I thought we weren’t showing in the first two periods.” Once again, Adam Faust kept the Warrior-Knights in the game, earning his second shutout of the season with 20 saves.
