Liam Duffy, a fourth-grader at Strong Elementary School, made a recent donations of non-perishable food items to Eldon Hafford, executive director of Southington Bread for Life (BFL). The items were collected as birthday gifts instead of more traditional presents. “Presents only last for a short time and are forgotten about,” he said in a press release from BFL. “When you do for others it makes you feel good about yourself.”
