Irene Frances Armington, 87, of Bristol, beloved sister of Helen Brophy, died at St. Francis hospital on Sunday, January 10, 2016. She was born on July, 8, 1928 in Bristol and was the daughter of Elliott and Elizabeth (Englert) Armington. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her nephews and nieces, Ernest Schneider, Jr. and Laura VanValkenburgh and Laura’s daughter Abbagail, Lisa (Schneider) Lavigne and her husband Bill, Elliott Armington, Jr. and Jeffrey Armington and his wife Terry; grand-nephews Joseph, Nicholas and Jeffrey Armington, Andrew and Aidan Schneider and Jaiden Lavigne; grand-nieces, Patricia and Mckenzie Armington and Lillirose Lavigne. Irene also leaves her friends Grace Zwiek and Rita Taillon along with her special little friends Mikayla and Kaitlyn. She was predeceased by her siblings Elliott Armington, Jane Armington and Mary Schneider. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday morning January 13, 2016 from 9:00 am until 10:30 am at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol/Forestville followed by a procession to St. Gregory the Great Church, 235 Maltby St. Bristol for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.
