Timothy D. Harkey, 69, of Bristol, husband of Sandra (Beals) Harkey died Monday, January 4, 2016 at the Pines of Bristol. He was born October 19, 1946 in New Britain, and was the son of the late Henry R. and Viola (Martin) Harkey. He was a fifty-five year member of Bristol Baptist Church. He graduated from BEHS class of 1964 and graduated from Hartford State Technical College in 1966. He began his career in Electrical Engineering at the Yale Nuclear Structure Lab and then worked at Kalart-Victor MFG, Canberra MFG, and General Data Comm. before taking a position at Torrington Co/Timken MFG. where he was employed for over 25 years before retiring. He was a Boy Scout in his youth in Troop 4 at Bristol Baptist Church and as an adult he was a longtime volunteer at Camp Wightman in North Stonington CT. Tim was an avid NY Yankees and NY Giants fan. He was a lifetime fisherman and loved to fish with his grandchildren.
