Assistant animal control officer needed

The Southington Police Department 69 Lazy Ln, Southington, CT 06489 (860) 378-1600  The Southington Police Department is currently accepting resumes for an assistant animal control officer. Applications must be received by Monday, Feb. 15, 2016. Interested applicants must go to www.policeapp.com/Southington and fill out the online application. Testing information can be found at the following locations: www.policeapp.com, www.cpcanet.org (Connecticut Chiefs of Police Association/CPCA). The assistant animal control officer investigates complaints referred to the Southington Police Department on roaming, injured, lost, found, barking, vicious, biting and dead domestic animals or specified dangerous wild life as needed. Applicants must have graduated from an accredited high school or possession of a G.E.D., be at least 21 years of age, be a citizen of the United States, and possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license. Candidates must have a passing score of at least 70 percent on the CPCA Written Examination for Animal Control Officer in order to submit their application. The next testing date is Jan. 23, 2016.
