By LISA CAPOBIANCO STAFF WRITER Bristol will welcome a second Thomaston Savings Bank full-service branch in the upcoming year. City leaders and the Bristol Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated a groundbreaking ceremony of the bank’s new branch that will be built at 120 Farmington Ave. The 2602-foot state-of-the-art facility will include convenient hours, a drive-thru, and a 24-hour drive up ATM, which will complement the bank’s financial banking center on Middle Street here in Bristol. The bank’s location at 44 Middle St. opened in 2012. About a month ago, the site where the new branch will be located had five parcels, which were used for commercial and residential purposes. Associated Architects, LLC designed the new building and PAC Group, LLC is the contractor in charge of construction. A couple of weeks before the groundbreaking, demolition took place on the site. The project is expected to be completed next April, bringing five to six new bank employees.
