The Southington Police Departments announced the arrest of Narendra Patel, 61, of Plainville during a motor vehicle stop on Tuesday, Sept. 9. He was arrested without incident and transported to police headquarters where he was processed and charged with the sale of marijuana. The arrest followed an investigation by the Special Investigations Unit that began during the month of April 2015 when police received reports of Patel’s marijuana sales. Based on this information, four controlled purchases of marijuana were made from Patel. As a result of this investigation, four arrest warrants were issued for Patel charging him with sale of marijuana. Patel was held on a $75,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Bristol Superior Court on Sept. 9, 2015. The warrants were sealed at the time of the arrest, and no further information will be released.
