The Southington Library has announced a number of upcoming programs. All are welcome. The September exhibit features acrylic works by Southington resident Bruce Zaiko, a retired carpenter born in New Britain. Zaiko is a self-taught artist who has been painting landscapes primarily for over ten years as a hobby. Visitors to The Gallery will recognize many of the locations depicted in Bruce’s paintings such as Hubbard Park, the Connecticut River and peaceful road side areas along our back roads. Visit The Gallery at the Library while the exhibit is on display during the normal business hours of the library, Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Italycious with Enzo Boscarino. Thursday, Sept. 17, 6:30 p.m., in the library café. Co-sponsored by the Southington UNICO Club and Sons of Italy. Registration is required. Enzo Boscarino, originally of Siracusa, Italy, will serenade the audience with Italian songs and world music. He will perform the songs in their original languages, with musical styles […]
