Bristol police are investigating a serious motor vehicle crash that happened this afternoon at the intersection of Riverside Avenue and East Street. According to a press release from the Bristol Police Department, the operator of a scooter was east on Riverside Avenue and crashed into a parking lot when he left the right side of the roadway in the East Street area. Unresponsive, the victim appeared to have a head injury, and was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, the release said. The identity of the male operator has not been determined yet, according to the release.
