Bristol police are investigating after a 67-year-old man was beaten and robbed last night in the area of Summer Street and Federal Street. According to a press release from the Bristol Police Department, officers responded to the scene in response to a complaint of a disturbance. They found the victim who was bleeding from facial injuries, and was set upon by several youth frequenting the area, the release said. They beat and robbed the man’s wallet before fleeing northbound on Summer Street, the release said. The victim was treated for his injuries at Bristol Hospital, according to the release. The Bristol Police Department’s K-9 officer and detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division are assisting in this investigation.
