Books and more will go sale at the Friends of the Plainville Public Library Fall Book Sale. The Friends have spent many hours sorting the books into categories and setting up the sale. Cookbooks, children’s books, and mysteries are always popular sections but there are dozens more including: home and garden, biography, general fiction, literature, business, reference and history. The Friends book sale has been held for the last 25 years and attracts hundreds of browsers through the two day event. All of the proceeds from the sale will go toward improving the library. Prices range from $0.50 for paperbacks to $1.00 for hardcover books. There will also be some DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks. Almost all of the items are donated to the library, some are discards. The sale will be held starting on Friday, Sept. 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. and will continue on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is a $3 per family admission charge for the Friday night sale.
