Francis “Fran” Santy and Mary (Casale) Santy recently celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary with their family at Suffield By The River in Suffield. The couple was married on Aug. 19, 1940 and was recently honored by Worldwide Marriage Encounter as the longest married couple in the State of Connecticut. Both of them grew up in Southington and graduated from Lewis High School. They moved to Manchester in 1957 where Fran operated Marlowes Beauty Salon for many years. They were later employed by Connecticut General until their retirement in 1982. The couple celebrated with their two children, Frank Santy and Deb Santy; their daughter-in-law, Pat; their grandson, Robert and his wife Lauri; their granddaughters, Pamela, Lynn and her husband Jon, and Jill and her husband Kyle; and their great-granchildren, Elizabeth, Matthew, David, Colbie, and Jase.
