As expected the Republicans endorsed another term for incumbent Mayor Ken Cockayne at last week’s Republican Town Committee meeting. Cockayne announced his candidacy several months ago. He will face Ellen Zoppo-Sassu, the incumbent third district councilor. Also on the list of candidates for council is a familiar name. Dave Mills, who was a member of the city council as a representative for the 3rd district, will be running again. Previously, Mills had stepped away from the council due to family matters. The complete list of Republican candidates are: Treasurer: Thomas Barnes First district city council: Eric Carlson, Anthony D’Amato. Second district city council: Joshua Levesque, Jodi Zils-Gagne.
