Seven members of the Farmington River School of Art, of Plainville, will be exhibiting their artwork throughout the month of August at The Gallery at The Orchards in Southington. Ray Fernaldi, of Southington, started painting when he retired. He works in oils and acrylics and often paints water scenes. Dee Krampitz, of Plainville, is a graduate of Paier College of Art and has worked as a Graphic Designer for 23 years. Her love of horses, and painting them, has brought great inspiration. Barbara Scott, of Bristol, tries to capture the calming effects of Mother Nature and wants her viewers to feel the same serene effects in her paintings. Zofia Soto, of East Berlin, loves bright colors and paints landscapes, people and flower subjects in many mediums. Her favorite medium is oils. Agnes Wong, of Farmington, was born in Hong Kong and considers herself a realistic painter. She always challenges herself to go to a new dimension with many mediums and subjects. Bev Hollis, of Wolcott, paints realistically as well as impressionistic. She has won many awards with her animals and portraits. P.R.
