BY LISA CAPOBIANCO STAFF WRITER For the sixth year in a row, Nico Fasold of Plainville will set up his lemonade stand outside his home with the goal of raising over $10,000 for Make-A-Wish Connecticut. But this year, the 10-year-old has added a new member to his team: Stop & Shop. The supermarket will be setting up stands outside over 30 of its locations this Saturday. “I’m feeling excited,” said Nico. “This year it’s going to be brought to the next level with Stop & Shop being involved,” said Nico’s father, Kyle Fasold. “This will help other kids get involved.” On Saturday from 10 am. to 2 p.m., Nico’s Lemonade Stand will be set up at the end of Nico’s driveway at 109 Northwest Dr. Besides popcorn, cookies, snow-cones and other carnival foods, Nico has added funnel cakes to his stand this year. Nico’s Lemonade Stand began in 2010 when Nico asked his father to have a lemonade stand. Nico chose to donate all proceeds to Make-A-Wish to helps make the dreams of children come true.
