Mark your calendars for June 26, when the Farmers Market of Plainville will be returning for its fourth season, giving residents easy access to locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables, locally raised meats, fresh farmed eggs, breads, and more. The market will be held every Friday for 10 weeks in front of the Plainville High School on Route 10. New this year, market hours will be extended to make it possible for commuters to stop by and grab some fresh produce and other market fare after work. Market hours will be Fridays, 3 to 6 p.m., from June 26 to Aug. 28. The first 25 families to arrive on opening day will receive a reusable farmer’s market tote bag. The Farmers Market of Plainville will feature the following vendors in 2015: Bradley Mountain Soaps – New this year. Bradley Mountain Soaps produces high quality handmade skin products with carefully selected ingredients. They are delightfully packaged, and suitable for all ages. George Hall Farm – George Hall Farm, located in Simsbury will be offering a diverse selection of fresh, organic and naturally grown seasonal produce, including spinach, kale, beets, broccoli, greens, garlic, peppers, herbs, and more.
