The Southington Public Library has announced the annual Summer Reading Program for all ages. Registration is underway at the Children’s Services Desk. How can your children have fun and retain the skills they learned during the school year? Join the Southington Library’s Summer Reading Program. Research shows that children who participate in a library Summer Reading Program are better prepared to learn in the fall. Open to Southington children of all ages. Once entered, you may register to attend programming and participate in trivia contests. Children who report their summer reading may enter a drawing to win one of two iPad minis. Tweens who join Summer Reading will once again receive a free book from the Southington Middle School Summer Reading List. They also have the chance to take part in Art: Human vs. Machine, where they will test their artistic skills against a painting robot and a 3D printer. Register at the children’s services desk.
