Southington Knights of Columbus Isabella Council 15 announced a fundraiser dinner, along with the Southington Elks Club, which will benefit the Relay for Life and will honor a local family for their dedication to the relay. The event will be held at the Elks Lodge located at 114 Main Street in Southington. Tickets cost $12 per person. The menu includes pasta and meatballs, salad, dessert, coffee and tea with food donated by Nancy Nurtures Foundation honoring Nancy Lee Salerno, a local woman that was killed by a drunk driver in 2012. The event will honor Mike and Patty Boissoneault, and their daughter Mary, for their years of dedication to Relay for Life in the American Cancer Society’s battle against cancer. The Boissy Open family golf tournament, led by the Boissoneaults, brings together 150 golfers each year supporting the efforts of Relay for Life. Over the past decade, the Boissoneaults have raised approximately $15,000 for the Relay for Life. In addition, Mary Boissoneault helped the Southington High School DECA team raise to raise $8,000 for the relay in 2010.
