The Southington Police Department announced that 26-year old Daniel Meyer of Southington was arrested on an active arrest warrant on March 25 at the Bristol courthouse. Meyer was arrested for seven counts of third degree forgery and two counts of fifth degree larceny and held on a $2,500 bond. According to the police, the warrant alleges various incidents from October 2014 to December 2014. Meyer is said to have stolen seven checks from a family member, forged the checks, and then cashed them on various dates at local banks. The checks totaled $700. The warrant also alleges that during this same time-frame, Meyer stole several items, including a tablet computer, a power washer, and a camera from family members and pawned the stolen items.
