A benefit pasta supper will be held on Saturday, April 18, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Parish Hall. This event will be sponsored by the teen youth group of Our Lady of Mercy Church, to raise funds to provide housing and assistance to the poor in Haiti. The teens held a similar pasta supper last year. Monies raised will go to the Haitian Health Foundation, founded by Dr. Jeremiah Lowney, an orthodontist in Norwalk. Over the years, HHF has responded to critical needs of the poorest of the world. The need continues, and more especially since the devastating earthquake in 2010, with thousands still homeless. HHF’s focus is on provides health care, education, and community development. Tickets will be available at Our Lady of Mercy Church on Saturday, April 11 at 5 p.m. and on Sunday, April 12 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., and by calling the parish office (860) 747-6825. No tickets will be sold at the door.
