The businesses represented at the Home and Business Show included retail stores, bakeries, pet services, real estate agencies, handmade goods and much more. Derynoski Elementary school teacher Kate Colonero was there as a consultant for Tastefully Simple, a home party company. “I had product and I thought I’d get my name out there to people who might not know,” said Colonero. She sells Tastefully Simple’s “mealtime solutions,” which are food products that require two or fewer ingredients and make meal prep easy for customers. “I’m a teacher here,” said Colonero. “I know a lot of people in town, so I figured I’d come by and, even if I don’t make money, the money is going to the school so I don’t mind.” Another business to have a table set up at the Home and Business Show was Christina’s Gourmet Cookies Classes and Parties, which is located at 35 Main St. in Southington.
