Town Manager Garry Brumback has issued a warning from CL&P to businesses throughout the community. Acording to CL&P, businesses in town have received phone calls, advising them to make a utility payment through the purchase of a “Green Dot” VISA card, which is not legitimate. The company does not ask customers to buy prepaid cards. If you have received this type of call, please report it to the Southington Police Department at (860) 378-1600.
