Police are investigating an armed robbery in Southington. On Wednesday, Jan. 21, at 6:04 p.m., Police responded to reports from TD Bank, located at 900 Queen Street. According to a press release from the Southington Police, the suspect entered the front door of the bank, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from the bank tellers. The suspect exited the bank through the rear door into the TD Bank parking lot, and headed north toward Newell Street. The amount of money that was stolen is undisclosed. The suspect was described as being approximately 5’8 tall with a medium build wearing a black knee length winter coat with a gray hooded sweatshirt underneath it. The sweatshirt hood was pulled over a gray brimmed baseball hat, and the suspect was wearing a black ski mask which only exposed his eyes and mouth. The suspect was wearing light colored gloves, and brandished a black colored handgun in his right hand. The suspect was wearing dark colored pants and gray sneakers.
