Zone named as Vice Chair for insurance and real estate committee

HARTFORD—State Representative David Zoni (D-Southington) has been promoted to serve as Vice Chairman of the General Assembly’s Insurance and Real Estate Committee by Speaker of the House Brendan Sharkey (D-Hamden). The Insurance and Real Estate Committee is focused on all matters relating to insurance law and real estate law. “I want to thank Speaker Sharkey for this honor and opportunity to serve as Vice Chair of the Insurance and Real Estate Committee,” Zoni said in a press release from the state Democrats. “The oversight of this committee is critically important to industries that serve the public and provides thousands of jobs for people who live and work in Connecticut.” “I’m confident Rep. Zoni will be an important asset to the Insurance and Real Estate Committee as Vice Chairman,” Speaker Sharkey said in the release. “David brings a wide spectrum of knowledge to his assignments and I look forward to working with him) throughout the legislative session.” Rep. Zoni, re-elected to a second term in November, will also serve on the Finance, Revenue and Bonding, Aging, and Public Health Committees.
