The Imagine Nation issued the following press release: Countdown To Kindergarten- On Wednesday, Aug. 21 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. all Bristol children entering kindergarten in the fall are invited to “Countdown To Kindergarten.” ”Countdown to Kindergarten” is a program designed to help new kindergarten students get ready for the first year of school. Children will meet other children, hear “going to school” stories, ride a real school bus, make fun school crafts, and meet a kindergarten teacher. Parents will find out what their child will experience during his/her first year at school. The program is held in two locations: The Imagine Nation Museum at One Pleasant Street, and the Children’s Department at the Bristol Public Library, 5 High St. The program is free but you must pre-register by calling the Bristol Library at (860) 584-7787 ext. 2021. This program is designed to celebrate and support the transition into kindergarten and is presented by the Bristol School Readiness Council, Bristol Public Library, and the Imagine Nation Museum.
