The Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce will host a Breakfast Seminar on Wednesday, Jan. 21 at Nuchie’s Restaurant, 164 Central St. in Forestville from 8 to 9:30 a.m. for individuals and small businesses interested in learning about changes in healthcare regulations as well as strategies and options for health insurance coverage and other employee benefit plans. Cost of the seminar is $25. The keynote speaker will be Anne Melissa Dowling, CFA, deputy commissioner, State of Connecticut Department of Insurance. In addition, there will be two panel sessions including representatives from insurance carriers, agencies and industry experts who will discuss their recommendations for successfully navigating the confusing world of healthcare insurance and employee benefit plans. Included in this discussion will be a review of the state’s Access Health CT insurance exchange as well as alternatives for individuals and small business owners and managers.
