On the fifth play of the game, Jasen Rose connected a 51-yard pass to Alex Jamele, and Southington took the lead for good. On Saturday, Nov. 29, Thanksgiving fans came out in numbers despite a two-day weather delay, but they didn’t have to wait long for the offense to heat up. Southington raced out to a 27-7 lead at halftime and cruised to a 44-7 win over Cheshire. For the Rams (8-3), it ended any hopes for a playoff berth. For Southington, the lopsided victory capped a perfect 10-0 regular season with the go-ahead victory in the Apple Valley Classic.
