The new Don Tinty Bristol Boys & Girls Club Family Center will open its doors to the public this Friday, Nov. 28 during an open house. The open house will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the new center located on West Street. The event features a number of local sponsors, including The Barnes Group, ESPN, Bank of America, Fiondella, Milone & La Saracina LLP, O & G Industries, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Wealth Preservation Partners, and ConnectiCare. Surrounded by double-glazed insulated windows, the new 40,000 square-foot state-of-the-art building features a number of amenities that serves people of all ages, including a teen center, game room, technology center, and an arts and science center. Designed by Amara Associates and built by O&G Industries, Inc., the new center is equipped with a 13,700 square-foot field house that can be used for basketball, soccer and volleyball as well as community events. The facility also includes a performing arts center, a fitness center, and a community center, which offers space for education, expression of the arts, and community events.
