Calling Main Street businesses critical to the success of Bristol’s economy, State Senate Candidate Rob Michalik touted his plans to invest in the local economy while on a tour of small businesses with state Representative Frank Nicastro (D-Bristol), according to a press release. The tour served as an opportunity for Michalik and Nicastro to speak with small business owners and listen to their concerns, said the release. “Businesses on Main Street have long been the backbone of our local economy,” said Michalik in the press release. “By helping businesses gain access to capital and credit we can jumpstart hiring and economic growth.
