By PHILIP MARCELO Associated Press BOSTON (AP) _ School and law enforcement officials in New England are concerned about a recent rash of bomb threats that have forced schools to cancel classes. Nearly a dozen schools and colleges in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Connecticut have received the threats, forcing evacuations and cancellations in the past week. The latest came Monday when Winchester High School officials cancelled classes in the Boston suburb after receiving an emailed threat, and the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts was evacuated after a 911 call claimed multiple bombs were on the western Massachusetts campus. Law enforcement officials aren’t sure if they’re dealing with a coordinated effort or a number of copycats. School officials say every threat must be taken seriously, even if cancelling classes disrupts students’ education and forces districts to expend limited resources.
